What About Educators?
A little bonus video: This is a COVID-19 documentary and was one of my final class projects.

April 2020 - Videographer & Editor
This film is featured on my website as a snapshot in time and a defining moment in my career. Created for a class just as the pandemic hit, this project forced me to master the art of solo filmmaking under pressure. By documenting the intimate and day to day reality of 2020, I discovered that truth is the most compelling element of any edit. It is a grainy and honest look back at where my journey as a documentary storyteller truly began.
This film serves as my origin story and marks the transition from a student with a camera to a solo filmmaker finding beauty in a global lockdown. Though I now shoot in cinema grade 4K and am rarely in a room alone, that original fly on the wall philosophy remains the same.
The project still holds my approach to documentaries and the importance of giving those who may not always have a voice a place where they can share and be heard. My hope is that these stories help others relate to the issues the subjects are facing or bring light to a topic viewers might be unfamiliar with. It is a reminder that no matter the transition there is always a story worth capturing and I am ready to tell it.
