Documentary-Style Videos

A good story is meant to be shared. One of my favorite ways to portray a story is to sit someone down and have a conversation rather than a traditional interview because that is when people truly let their walls down. When you get someone to talk about what they are most passionate about the cameras begin to melt away and that is when the most impactful words are spoken.

Following the shoot the editing process is intentional and meticulous. Because so much power is held in the hands of the editor it is up to me to ensure I am honoring everyone’s story, time, identity, and skillset. Editing is not something to be taken lightly or handed off to an intern as it takes a trained eye to truly spot and build a story.
