Elizabeth's Garden
2024 : Videographer / Editor This case study was done for a local homeless shelter highlighting a current resident and her incredible work in their garden. While I was filming her interview I knew I wanted to tell her story. This project was important to bring visibility to an underrepresented population in may urban areas, the homeless population, and how resources like Transitions are vital to the community.
Rock Communications Hurricane Helene Response
2024 : Editor Hurricane Helene ended up being a bigger storm than the South East was expecting, especially since the areas of greatest impact were inland, in the mountains. Even now, stories surrounding this catastrophic event are still emerging and the areas are still recovering. Rock Communications, based in the upstate of South Carolina, hired us to capture their story and how Rock Communications were vital in the emergency response efforts. Like the storm, this project became a major project as we collected interviews from counties all over the state. In the end I was presented with 17 interviews to be condensed into a couple minute highlight. After compiling B-roll at the interview sights, we sourced pictures from the event from all over the state and also incorporated those assets in a compelling way to support the narrative.
High School Cheer Team Hype Video
2024 : Videographer / Editor This promotional video goes beyond showcasing a cheerleading routine; it emphasizes that these girls are not just practicing to look good but are relentlessly pushing themselves to become as strong as possible. Through a unique narrative, the video highlights their unwavering dedication and the intense training process that culminates in their moment on the mat. It’s a powerful portrayal of strength, resilience, and the tireless effort required to succeed in their sport. We spent 2 days filming the team and capturing the essence "strong and tough." We wanted this video to not only be a hype video but we also added a narrative element. Playing with lighting, action, and movement, all the footage comes together to give a full picture of what goes into being a varsity cheer leader.
Civil Rights Conference Highlight
2024 : Videographer / Editor The University of South Carolina held their first civil rights conference and we were asked to cover the week long event. While capturing the event I quickly realized our video was not just a highlight of the event but also an important moment to capture the stories of the attendees. The conference was titled "Where do we go from here?" and they were gathering to hear the stories and wisdom from original civil rights activists to share with the younger generation. Though we were gathered to honor the past, the message to keep going and inspire the youth to continue the civil rights efforts was the focus of the event and I wanted to capture the impact of that message through this edit.
National Safety Council - Case Study
2024 : Editor The National Safety Council South Eastern Chapter is in charge of all things safety from workplaces to driver safety classes, we are covering the scope and importance of safety training. In this video I was tasked with editing 7 interviews into a 3 minute highlight.
REI Training Videos
2022-2023 : Videographer / Editor My primary goal was to enrich the educational content, not just conveying information but also engaging the audience, resulting in an immersive learning experience for all associates. Regardless of individual learning preferences, whether visual or auditory, our video accommodates diverse styles, ensuring a comprehensive and impactful training journey. For this project I collaborated with the RunFit team at REI to create a video to support their script. Prior to hiring me, the training content was flat and lacked brand consistency. It was a great honor to be asked to troubleshoot and elevate their training videos. I brought lighting, higher resolution videos, enhanced visuals, storyboarding and brand consistency to REI's production process.

I was asked to create a short film in the style of 'The Office.' Here is a glimpse of a couple's special day through the lens of their favorite show. From the handheld cinematography style to the deadpan interviews, the Alter wedding was the perfect blend of fun and touching.​
